چکیده

The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident happened after the devastating earthquake in Pacific coastal area of Japan on 11 March 2011. After accident, radioactive materials spread out over a wide Japan. Radioactive were retained soil surfaces, causing environmental problems. Among materials, cesium (137Cs) has long half-life 30.2 years, and it remains near surface soil; therefore, is necessary to remove contaminated by 137Cs. layer inhabited areas was already removed before April 2020. However, remediation method Cs with other needs further study, as large quantity not easy preserve. Electrokinetic (EK) treatment one technologies that utilizes EK phenomena at interface between soils transferring ions from soil. We have developed new type which cathode placed an anode place inside By applying DC voltage electrodes, can be are gathered cathode, if adsorb ions, then only preserved, solving problem storing amount been working prepare effective adsorbing same time easier store handle. used natural zeolite rice husk charcoal (kuntan) this electrode, showed good potential for ions. electrode flexibility, helpful way pasture rolls. experiments conducted laboratory non-radioactive Cs; field observations needed practical applications method, well electrodes.

Electricity generation potential of poultry droppings wastewater in microbial fuel cell using rice husk charcoal electrodes

Background: Poultry droppings from poultry farms and rice husks obtained from rice milling process are generally considered as wastes and discarded in Nigeria. Although many studies have shown that microbial fuel cells (MFCs) can generate electricity from organic wastes, little or no study have examined MFCs for generating electricity from poultry droppings and rice husk as electrode material. ...

Adsorption of Lead from Industrial Effluents using Rice Husk

Rice husk a very low cost material has been utilized as adsorbent for the removal of lead from industrial effluents. Adsorption studies have been carried out at 28°Cand the effect of initial lead concentrations (100-1000) mg/l, adsorbent dosage (0.05-1) g, pH (2-10) and contact time (10-180) min on lead uptake to establish a mathematical model description percentage removal of Pb (II). The infl...

Adsorption of Ni(II) and Cd(II) from Aqueous Solutions Using Modified Rice Husk

Background and purpose: Recently, release of pollutants such as heavy metal ions to the environment becomes one of the most important problems for soil and water. The present study was conducted to introduce modified rice husk (RH) as a new low-cost adsorbent. Materials and Methods: In this study, tartaric acid modified RH (TARH), was used as an adsorbent for removal of Ni(II) and Cd(II) from w...

Adsorption of Enrofloxacine on Natural Zeolite - Clinoptilolite

The potential use of Croatian natural zeolite clinoptilolite as alternative adsorbents for removal of enrofloxacin (ENRO) as model pollutant was studied in a batch system. The influence of contact time and initial ENRO concentration on the sorption process was investigated. The percentage removal of ENRO from aqueous phase decreased with an increase in initial concentration. The experimental da...

The Study of Kinetic and Biosorption of Pb Ion by Rice Husk from Wastewater

An agricultural waste i.e. rice husk has been used as a cheap adsorbent for the removal ofleadas a harmful heavy metal from contaminated water via adsorption. The adsorption capacity of rice husk was calculated by equilibrium models. The results showed that the adsorption process has the best accordance with Langmuir model. The kinetics of the adsorption was also investigated and obtained that ...
